The Horus Heresy is the foundational civil war in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Occurring 10,000 years before the main game setting, it centers on Warmaster Horus, the Emperor’s favored son, who was corrupted by the dark gods of Chaos and led half of the Space Marine Legions in a rebellion against the Emperor.
