BANDAI SPIRITS' MG high-end brand challenges the "ultimate expression" of mobile suits, based on a set "theme" for each model, utilizing the accumulated technology and combination of different materials. The third release is the "Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam". This time the theme is "Iridescent Expression." By employing mechanical core plating, Bandai have pursued an even greater expression of sparkle while this model kit features the first-ever use of colored plastic mechanical core plating in Gunpla history.

Based on the frame of the MGEX 1/100 Strike Freedom Gundam, which features the most "frame-linked articulation gimmicks" in MG history, some parts are newly molded and reproduced. The secondary processing and molding colors for the gold parts have been completely revamped. In addition to multiple types of gold plating and extra finishes, real metallic gloss injection molding has been adopted to express a gradation of gold tones. It is possible to place Kira Yamato and Lacus Clyne figures in the cockpit. 

This model kit includes a figure of Lacus that can be piloted in the Proud Defender. A standing figure of Lacus Clyne is included, and by placing it on the chest of the main body, you can recreate memorable scenes.
