Hello there, this is my first time doing this so I hope that you guys find this helpful when choosing a model kit to start building as a first time builder or just to get any ideas on customizing something new that you may have in mind. I have been a fan of the Gundam 00 for a long time and it is the series that got me into the hobby so I hope my experience with the model kits from this series can help anyone in their future journey with gunpla.
Today’s model kit will be the HG00 #052 0 Gundam.
This model kit is rather simple which gives a bit of nostalgia to those who have watched the original series from the beginning. Having its weapons simplify to go with, it doesn’t take away from its uniqueness that it brings to the build of it
When finishing the build we’re able to see the similarity to the original RX 78-2 Gundam but in a different take on its construction from the original series.
Release Date: 2009
Runners: 4
Sticker sheet: 1
Effect Parts: 1
Chest area: shows a Large condenser showing that machine uniqueness on suit itself compared to other machines of the current era. The rollout colors give way for anyone to color it the way they want to for those that like to customize or just paint.
Backpack: is very simple, carrying a beam saber and being able to disassemble it to add Wing of Light Effect parts that come along with it, giving people ideas on how to pose it when displayed.
The legs and waist: parts have a very good range of motion for its simple build allowing anyone to pose it in almost any possible pose when displayed. The back of the waist part has the connection for it when any action base is being used with it.
The arms: also have a good range of motion for moving or carrying its own weapons or any other parts that may be available out there.
The head: unit is very simple and similar to the original RX 78-2 Gundam giving a sense of familiarity except for the head vulcan guns.
Main weapons: is a beam gun not a beam rifle, the way it is built and how small it is from other model kit standard rifles. Along with it is a beam saber housing it in the backpack.
The shield: is also very simple but a little smaller than the regular shields but its specs are far from it. If modified correctly people can attach an effect part to make it look like it is producing a shield of light.
This model kit is a good kit to start with if people want to start building model kits or for people who want something simple to build upon when it comes to kitbashing or customizing from scratch. Not many model kits can give this much freedom to customize straight out of the box but it’s a unique and familiar experience for those that have been doing this hobby for some time and try to help others to start easy and not with a lot of complications. Its swapability is also great if people want to switch out specific parts such as the arms, legs and head to something more pleasing to make more to oneself or to display out.
